Change & Transition Management

Trainer: Peter Schmideg
Date: August 25-26, 2008
Time: 9.00am – 5.30pm
Venue: Singapore

The program has two key points of focus:

1. Change and Transition. Knowing the difference between Change and Transition is crucial because each has to be managed in a different way. The first is about process, the second is about people.

2. Key Steps. We explore an 8 step plan to help you set-up, implement and manage your change process. From creating up a ‘guiding’ coalition through to being clear about knowing what success looks like with your change initiative.

Benefits of Change & Transition Management:

Create greater buy-in from all who are impacted by the change
Create change that is sustainable as opposed to a temporary ‘quick-fix’
Implement a change program using proven techniques and strategies
Manage resistance openly and effectively
Build greater trust in management through open communication
Become aware of challenges with both people and process
Utilise John Kotter’s key ‘road map to change’ process to manage and implement change

You Will learn:

How to understand and manage resistance to change
How to implement an 8 Step plan to begin and manage the process
To differentiate between Change and Transition
To coach and Mentor through change
To be aware of Transition and the psychological aspects of change
How to align business strategy and organisational goals with your change initiative
How to get ‘buy-in’ from your stakeholders
How to ensure that your change initiative ‘sticks’.

Who should attend Change & Transition Management?

Anyone who is contemplating organisational change and for those currently involved in a change process who are looking for fresh strategies to re-invigorate the process.
