Full details:
On June 1, to mark the 20th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre, Rights and Democracy will host a roundtable featuring Rowena Xiaoqing He, researcher at Harvard University’s Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies, Charles Burton, political scientist from Brock University, and writer Cai Chongguo, who recently published J'étais à Tian An'men (L'Esprit du Temps, Paris, 2009). They will discuss whether the bloodshed at Tiananmen Square forever buried the possibility of a democratic China and what lessons can be drawn from the massacre. The event will take place at the Centre d’archives de Montréal, 535, Viger Avenue East, starting at 7 p.m.

Please RSVP with Louise Chicoine at 514-283-6073 ext. 227 or lchicoine@dd-rd.ca
