Full details:
The purpose of the event is to showcase original artwork by three female Hollywood-based artists. Each artist will create one original piece of art specifically for this Perception event series. All art displayed is for sale. Admission is free. Music will be provided by LA’s own famed DJ Phylo. Courtyard entertainment includes a Tanbere drumming circle with Master Drummer Pape Diouf and a Yakitori BBQ. There will be open bar from 8:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. and HD/DVD giveaways throughout the night.

The Perception series is a form of self-expression, interplays between experiences, surrounding culture and the interpretation of art. Perception gives rise to consciousness everybody can demonstrate through art. Perception is one of the oldest fields in art and quantifies the relationship between the intensity of physical stimuli (art) and their subliminal effects of society.

A bit about each artist:

Samantha Lockwood is an accomplished artist and actress. From childhood Samantha loved art. Her family noticed her natural gift for creativity and enrolled her into her first art class outside of school at the age eight in Malibu, CA. Samantha attended the Palm Valley School where she enrolled in the three year Advanced Placement Art Program. Her works draw from a love of nature, the ocean, and include lots of vibrant color.

Despite a solid education in math and science, Joanna Beray Ingco decided that more expressive endeavors would suit her best. She worked at a well-respected talent agency and the Creative Department at Interscope Records. She witnessed the inner-workings of the record industry and observed the collision of music and art through album cover imagery, fashion photo shoots, and photographer portfolios.

Holly Rog has loved to draw since she was young. Her parents and brother are all artists. Her mother is a potter, her father a sculptor, and her brother is a photographer. Her family’s ability to create art in their own manner gave Holly a taste of the different varieties and form of art out there.

Mark Crutch, Director of the InArtMedia Studio 2921, says, “As artists, we depend on each other socially, psychologically, and even critically. We take pride in this event by making it as inclusive as possible, providing a place where local artists and art lovers can come together to connect to the work and to each other.”

The InArtMedia Studio2921 organizes and presents viewings of art by regional, national and international artists, providing a forum for artwork of a culturally-diverse and issue-charged nature. The InArtMedia Studio2921 is committed to presenting viewers with avenues of experience that expand awareness, promote understanding and foster appreciation of today's visual arts. The InArtMedia Studio2921 exhibitions viewing's and programs enhance the experience of all with a broad range of aesthetic and philosophical viewpoints expressed through a wide variety of art.

Interviews with any of the artists can be arranged prior to the event by contacting Carolyn Hudson, Director of Public Relations, at 310-279-6626.
