Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary, the most prestigious Jewish cemetery and mortuary in Southern California, serving the Jewish community for more than 60 years, will offer a “Father’s Day Remembrance” on Sunday, June 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The annual 30-minute memorial service will be held at 10:30, led by Rabbi Donald M. Goor, of Temple Judea, and Cantor Evan Kent, of Temple Isaiah, will include music and song to honor memories of the fathers who reside at Hillside. Visitors can write notes and prayers that day in honor of their late fathers, which will be taken by Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary to be placed in the sacred Western Wall of Jerusalem.

Throughout the day, the Arioso String Quartet will provide ambient music, and an onsite florist will provide added convenience. Hillside’s beautiful gardens, lawns, fountains, architecture and artwork will provide a dramatic yet serene backdrop for the special event. In the spirit of tzedakah, Hillside will be accepting contributions of canned and packaged dry food, eyeglasses, hearing aids and cell phones for the Hillside Chesed Project.
