Room Gallery continues its Emerging Artist Series with D’Ette Nogle, whose practice is a well-strategized socio-political critique informed by conceptual, psychoanalytic and feminist histories. Among the signs she employs while oscillating between modes of production are those that index “high art” forms with pop cultural and domestic aesthetics. The juxtapositions Nogle produces are complex, bold, and challenging, making her an excellent choice for pairing with Roberto Jacoby. For her solo project at Room Gallery, Nogle will work with the curatorial team of Jesse Benson (artist/curator) and Becky Koblick (curator) to produce a new work in situ.
