Full details: ![]() Just returning from his Canadian Tour with the Blue Man Group, “How to be a Mega Star,” Toy Box welcomes back our headliner, Sacramento artist, David Garibaldi, for his first public appearance since his tour. Garibaldi’s pulsating “Rhythm and Hue” performances have astonished and delighted crowds across the globe. Also featuring, Boogie Monstarz, Sacramento’s most cutting-edge hip hop dance company, reigns at the forefront of the dance community in California. From San Francisco, Gabe Bondoc will visit our stage with his R&B sound and acoustic guitar. The Isaac Howl band will deliver a mesmerizing sound of acoustic folk music to leave a lasting impression. The Toy Box's 2nd Annual Benefit Show “Fulfill A Dream” will be held on Friday, October 10, 2008, Silent Auction begins at 6:30 pm, Show & Live Auction begins at 7:30 pm, at Sheldon High School’s Performing Arts Center on 8333 Kingsbridge Drive, Sacramento, CA, 95829. Tickets are $10 in advance at www.sactoybox.org or $12 at the door. Tickets will also be on sale on Thursday, October 9th, 2008 at the Sheldon High Box Office from 4:00 - 8:00PM.
Widely acclaimed for his colorful and expressive portrayals of popular culture, Garibaldi gained a whole new following with his touring of “Rhythm and Hue,” a performing arts show in which he creates 6-foot-tall portraits in five minutes, all to pounding popular music. Each portrait will be auctioned off live to the audience. Additionally, sponsored silent auction items will be open for bids before the show at 6:30 pm and during intermission. All sales from the show and auction will go directly to Toy Box.
Toy Box is a non-profit organization that operates a Christmas store for disadvantaged families. Eligible parents and guardians receive vouchers from Healthy Start caseworkers in Sacramento City Unified School District, which allow them to shop at the store. The store sells toys for just twenty percent of their retail cost.
