Monte Carlo Night

The Active 20-30 Club of Greater Sacramento # 1032 will host the 27^th Annual Monte Carlo fundraiser to benefit Sacramento-area children’s charities.

Active 20-30 Club of Greater Sacramento # 1032 donated over $50,000 to local children’s charities in 2007.  Monte Carlo beneficiaries include Project R.I.D.E and Breakthrough Sacramento.

Since 1979, Project R.I.D.E. (Riding Instruction Designed for Education) program has offered recreational therapeutic horseback riding instruction to children and adults with special needs.  Project R.I.D.E. offers a horse cart carriage-driving program, which provides a rewarding equine experience for children with special needs.  A child who might not be physically able to a ride a horse may benefit from the movement and also increase confidence and self-esteem by learning to independently drive a cart or carriage.

Breakthrough Sacramento is a dynamic public-private partnership providing year-round, tuition-free college preparation for academically motivated students from under-resourced schools in the Sacramento area.  92% of Breakthrough’s graduates attend college directly after graduation, as opposed to 29% in the Sacramento city area.  Most students are the first in their families to attend college.   

Tickets are $40 in advance and $50 at the door.  Admission includes Monte Carlo-style gaming, entertainment, appetizers, beer and wine.  Attendees must be 21 years and older.
