Full details:
The "Battle of the Bay Theatresports Tournament" is a 5 round improv competition in which 6 teams of improvisers-satirizing citizens of San Francisco, the North, East and South Bays and out-of-towners-compete for judges' points.

The 2008 teams, comprised of BATS Improv's Main Company, are:
* The Marincredibles
* The Oaktown Crew
* The Marina Safeway Singles' Club
* The Sunsetters
* The Laurel Heights Fightin' Therapists
* The Out-of-Towners

In this tournament, two teams square off each night in performing improvised games, songs, or scenes based on audience suggestions. Judges award points and designate each night's winning team, which advances to the next round. The two finalists play on August 2; those champs will then play Los Angeles Theatresports (LATS) in the finale to BATS' summer festival in late August.
