Full details: The Hipwaders return to the Bay Area Discovery Museum to perform their "Hip Music for Kids"...and adults, too! The title track from The Hipwaders' latest album, "Educated Kid", reached #1 on XM Satellite Radio and the band was invited to perform at XM studios in Washington DC. The Hipwaders have also performed at the 2007 Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago, and most recently rocked the 2008 Rock & Blues Festival at the Snowbird Resort in Utah. The Hipwaders have previously won 2 Parent's Choice Awards and their latest album was ranked in the Top 5 album releases of the year for kids and families by the "Fids & Kamily" group of writers, programmers and others involved in the music industry. Bay-Area based, The Hipwaders have performed across the country and their music has been heard on PBS, Discovery, MTV, Bravo, E!, Superstation, TLC, Style Network, and The Travel Channel. "The Hipwaders extol the virtues of reading, geometry, and the Dewey Decimal System, but their danceable New Wave-ish pop and lighthearted lyrics keep their messages fun" - ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY "...brilliantly fun and surprisingly hip songs extolling the touchstones of childlike glee..." - SF BAY TIMES "...fresh, infectious and insanely danceable...sound(ing) like a cross between the Beatles and Devo" - PARENTMAP.COM Send to Outlook: http://www.fullcalendar.com/vc.cfm?i=291888 |
