2nd Annual Blind Babies Foundation Invitational Golf Tournament
"Swing for Kids"
Benefiting visually impaired children in Northern and Central California

The Blind Babies Foundation is holding its Second Annual Golf Invitational on August 11, 2008 from 9am at the Palo Alto Hills Golf and Country Club. This event will be hosted by Mitch Juricich of "Hooked on Golf."

Join us in cheering on one of our alum clients, Matt Cooper, who is blind due to a brain tumor. He is fifteen years old, a golfer and a wonderful guy. His is a pretty inspirational story. He will participate in this tournament, with his Guide Dog, Twyla, with him on the course. Matt's family will be with him: his dad is an attorney from Fortuna in Humboldt County and Matt's coach will also be available. Matt is available for interviews.

Oakland Mayor Ronald V. Dellums said, "This year's event will go a long way to ensuring that Blind Babies Foundation has the resources needed to continue serving over 500 families per year, providing the critical services and assistance crucial to the growth and development of the visually impaired and their families."
