The second of a two-part series on aging and the workplace, this workshop covers the legal aspects associated with aging, including family trusts and living wills. These workshops provide HR managers with tools and techniques to help employees navigate the maze of information and resources.

Led by two experienced estate planning and elder law attorneys, participants explore California legal requirements for aging employees, estate planning, and how HR professionals can help employees in this process. Issues covered include:

-The need for appropriate estate planning
-Planning for possible disabilities of aging
-Administration after deat
-Conservatorship
-Advance health care directives, powers of attorney and trusts

Speakers:
Doris E. Hawks, Esq. is a partner in the firm Hawks & Comfort, LLP of Los Altos, and has specialized in Elder Law and related areas for eleven years. Her areas of emphasis include conservatorship, benefits including Medi-cal and Medicare, health care access, estate planning and probate.

Naomi Comfort, Esq. received her BA from UCLA and her JD and LLM in taxation from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. She was admitted to practice in the State of California in 1998. Ms. Comfort has devoted her career to providing exceptional estate and tax planning services to her clients.
