Full details:
BATS Improv's 14th Annual Summer Improv Festival runs August 1-30 and features ten "one-night-only" performances from its professional improv ensemble.

This festival, San Francisco's oldest and most acclaimed, coincides with a month of intensive improv training at BATS' annual Summer School, which offers workshops and week-long improv "camps" for youth, teens and adults from around the world.

The festival features several performances in the long-form improvisational format -- the signature format developed by BATS Improv now widely referred to as "San Francisco-style improv." Long-form performances during August include fan-favorites The News Show, Make-Your-Own Musical, The Harold, Spontaneous Broadway, The Life Game,(TM) Improvised Shakespeare, and Improvised Tarantino. The festival also boasts a performance by special guest troupe True Fiction Magazine, and BATS' most popular Theatresports matches of the year: the championship match of the "Battle of the Bay" tournament and the yearly "grudge" match between BATS and LATS (Los Angeles Theatresports).
