The 7th Annual ArtWalk Livermore is scheduled for October 11, 11am to 5pm in Livermore, bringing thousands out to stroll and enjoy a day of art, music, wine and shopping. Over 100 artists will display their work in stores, sidewalks and parks throughout the downtown core. Find new stores and shops - and ones you never knew existed - by wandering through art exhibits hosted inside and directly in front of businesses along First and surrounding streets.

This year ArtWalk encompasses a variety of art forms. Take an impromptu salsa lesson from It's All About Dancing; enjoy a sculpture stroll at the corner park; take part in the kickoff of Livermore's next Ekphrasis literary and visual art experience organized by Connie Post, Livermore's Poet Laureate, and Cher Wollard, sponsored by Windermere Welcome Home; and art demonstrations and a talk by trompe' oleil master muralist Andrew Johnstone, hosted by Modern Masters and Way Up Art & Frame.

In keeping with ArtWalk's expanded focus on walking and hiking, stroll through artists' booths hosted by local businesses; learn how to reduce your carbon footprint at the PG&E booth, ArtWalk's headline sponsor in a multi-year commitment. There will also be fun arts activities for children from Pacific Color and Richards' Arts & Crafts to fun at the WhoopsieDaisymobile.

Music will be heard throughout ArtWalk, from a special stage production sponsored by VoyageAir Guitar and Sebastion Brown Productions at the SheaHomes Stage on the Livermore Valley Plaza to the Panama Red Coffee Company and musicians hosted by the tasting rooms at Blacksmith Square. As October 11th draws closer, keep a lookout on www.artwalklivermore.com for fun activities, specials from local restaurants, hotels and wineries, a gallery of exhibiting artists, and a tour map to help you plan your day.

ArtWalk is a fundraiser for the Bothwell Arts Center, to help support local artists and cultural groups that utilize the space for their creative work.
