Traditional interview methods tend to include general questions, such as, "tell me about yourself," or focus on technical skills, such as "have you created computer code that...?" These types of questions do not reveal what an applicant actually can and will do when they come to work for you.

Following a behavior-based interview model that includes focused interview questions and accurate information gathering techniques, targets an applicant's ability to fulfill critical success factors and ensures organizational "right fit." We'll conduct mock interviews using behavior-based questions. Please bring a job description to use.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
-Reduce the "halo effect"
-Create behavior-based interview questions focused on critical performance factors, job required competencies, and organizational "fit"
-Distinguish between interview questions that are acceptable or unacceptable, based on legal issues
-Spot "red flags" on resumes and applications

**PLEASE BRING A POSITION DESCRIPTION WHICH CAN BE USED TO CREATE BEHAVIOR-BASED INTERVIEW QUESTIONS
