This past May saw the first workplace raid in Northern California in many years. Immigration raids at companies have become a priority for the Department of Homeland Security - and no industry is immune. Companies and their employees need to arm themselves with knowledge and information to implement compliance procedures and avoid a potential raid or investigation.

Learn about the federal agencies responsible for enforcing immigration law and the different divisions within those agencies, including: Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Citizenship and Immigration Services, Customs and Border Protection and Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division H-1B investigations teams.

We'll also discuss:
-Potential problems with E-Verify and whether it's a good fit for your company
-The authority that ICE has if they show up at your company
-How to respond to immigration investigations and raids at your company
-How to assert your rights, and the rights of co-workers and employers

Speaker: Randall Caudle runs his own immigration law firm in San Francisco, CA. He represents businesses, families and individuals in immigration legal issues. Randall is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Golden Gate University School of Law, where he teaches Immigration & Refugee Law. He is the current Santa Clara Valley Chapter President for the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and serves on several AILA National and local committees.
