The exhibition will be on display in the North, Souza, and Matthews Galleries, with a special feature on the 2nd floor in the Balcony Lobby and Hall. Opening day will coincide with the Tracy Bean Festival on Saturday, September 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. A special Gallery Talk and Reception with Curator James Cloer is scheduled for Saturday, September 27, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. The exhibit and related events are free and open to the public. The exhibition contains mature themes and viewer discretion is advised.

Salute to Surrealism is presented in collaboration with Patrons of Art, LLC. and features the work of four critically acclaimed contemporary artists, Julia d'Arcy, Dr. Ed Gafford, Nils Krueger, and Asa Mathat, with works by Surrealist Masters, Salvador Dali, Joan Miro, and Pablo Picasso. Through this combination, Surrealism across the 20th Century and into the 21st Century is explored through a variety of media and themes.

Julia d'Arcy, Dr. Ed Gafford, Nils Krueger, and Asa Mathat are represented by Patrons of Art. Julia d'Arcy's graphite drawings and prints are deeply rooted in Surrealism, joining together the particular and the universal, matter and spirit.

Dr. Gafford captures the hidden world, natural colors and patterns, through the use of high-powered camera and microscope.

Nils Krueger creates large format steel works that explore universal structure through design, mathematics, and anatomy.

Asa Mathat's fine art photography is a rendering of science, engineering, and the creative process combined with his worldly experience.

James Cloer is the Director and Founder of Patrons of Art, LLC. Patrons of Art is a dedicated champion of the fine arts by producing exhibits, events, and limited editions of contemporary international artists. Since 2004, Patrons of Art has operated and exhibited in San Francisco, Sacramento, Stockton, and Isleton.
