THE STORY: The life, career and music of a forgotten folk singer who couldn’t quite make it all the way to Denver, so he settled in one of the city’s better-known suburbs. His life, closely parallel to the better-known John Denver, is presented by the “Parker Road Players.”  His songs include: “Take Me Home, Parker Road”; “Hey, It’s Good to See Tract Homes Again”; “Grandpa’s Swollen Head”; “Heavin’ on a Jet Plane” and “Thank God, I’m Unemployed!” Once you witness the pathetic life and music of this singer, you’ll realize your life isn’t as bad as you thought.
