Modern Muse Theatre Company brings home their dear friend and colleague, Jamie Horton, for a very special fundraiser. Long-time, beloved, Denver Center Theatre Company actor and director returns for one night only to revisit favorite roles on Denver stages with special guests Kathy Brady, John Hutton and Randy Moore.

This special event will take place on Thursday, July 31 at the Kenneth King Center Concert Hall on the Auraria Campus, 855 Lawrence Way in Denver. The evening includes a Pre-show Wine/Cheese Party and silent auction beginning at 6:15 p.m. Back to the Muse: An Evening with Jamie Horton and Friends begins at 7:30 p.m. General Admission Tickets are $35 advance purchase and $40 at the door. Thirty-six (36) tickets only are offered at $100 that includes a private post show reception with Jamie Horton. “Close-Up with Jamie” will take place on the main stage of the Eugenia Rawls Courtyard Theatre after the show and features hors d’oeuvres and desert with special wine pairings.

From 1983-2006, Jamie Horton was a principal actor and director with the Tony Award-winning Denver Center Theatre Company. He played over eighty leading roles on the DCTC stages and was an active part of the company's new play development program. Directing and acting work have taken him to other theatres around the country, including the Creede Repertory Theatre, the Commonweal Theatre Company, the Mark Taper Forum and the Cleveland Play House. He has worked extensively in film, television and radio -- as actor, screenwriter and producer. He was the recipient of a Fox Foundation Fellowship in 2003 and is currently a professor in the Theatre Department at Dartmouth College, teaching acting and directing and directing mainstage productions.

Proceeds from Back to the Muse: An Evening with Jamie Horton and Friends benefit Modern Muse Theatre Company, a non-profit theatre company dedicated to providing affordable professional productions that explore relevant contemporary issues and that serve as a catalyst for dialogue and change in the community.
