As Chicago prepares for fall weather and footballgames, winter sports fans are unpacking their snow gear and getting ready for the upcomingski and snowboard season.   The Windy City Ski & Snowboard gets under way on Friday,October 23rd at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center and continuesthrough Sunday.   Hundreds of ski & snowboard manufacturers, retailers, resort destinations and clubs will fill the 70,000 square space to showcase the latest and greatest in equipment, locations,competitions and snow gear. Southern Region Ski Patrol will feature a huge swap area whereconsumers can purchase top of the line ski/snowboard apparel and equipment fordiscounted prices.  Expert guides will also be on hand to provide hosted seminars andinstruction.
