One in a free six part lecture series which accompanies the Baltimore Summer Antiques Show.

The 20th century represents the most diverse period in the history of jewelry design, from the elegance and splendor of the Edwardian era to the exotic motifs and geometry of the Art Deco period to the bold gold creations of the 1940's. World-renowned firms such as Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Bulgari, Tiffany & Co., David Webb and JAR produced jeweled creations that were defined by exquisite workmanship and imagination. Mr. Davis will explore these expressive decades, when jewels became not only objects of personal adornment but a true art form.

Gus Davis is a partner and co-founder of New York based antique and estate jewelry firm Camilla Dietz Bergeron, Ltd. He specializes in colored stones, such as fine Burma rubies, Columbian emeralds, Kashmir and Burma sapphires.  His eye for luxury and elegance has helped him to acquire fine pieces from the Edwardian, Art Deco and Retro periods including the famous Bulgari emerald and diamond ring gifted to Elizabeth Taylor by Richard Burton on the set of Cleopatra.
