The awarding winning Northern Elite Fire – Open Dance Team will be holding auditions for the 2009-2010 season. The team consists of dancers ages 18 and older, which perform and compete locally and nationally.

 The Fire Dance Team competes in jazz and hip hop with advanced, professional choreography.  The team is designed to compliment collegiate dance teams and those interested in pursuing dance at a semi-professional level. Dancers must have an extensive dance training or previous competitive dance experience. This team is not for adult beginners. Auditions will be held July 11th and 12th at the Northern Elite Studio. Those interested should come prepared with a musical selection and choreography of their own to include: double or triple pirouettes, fouettes, advanced leap combinations, and a showcase of flexibility.  Routines should be between one minute thirty seconds (1:30) and two minutes (2:00). Dancers interested in auditioning must contact the studio for an audition time. Those unable to attend auditions may contact Jessika to find out information regarding video tape audition criteria or alternative audition dates. Individuals selected for the 2009 – 2010 Fire Dance Team will be notified by July 31st. Dancers selected for this elite opportunity must commit to a regular practice schedule of one, two hour practice per week beginning in September.  Additional practices will be held for choreography sessions.  Dancers are expected to commit to the full performance and competitive season; typically running from September through April of each year. The Fire Dance Team will compete in a minimum three local competitions and two national competitions. For more details on the audition process please contact us at:northernelitedance@yahoo.com Northern Athletics Gym 2995 Lone Oak Circle, Suite 3 Eagan 55121www.necheer.com
