A a memorial walk/run is planned for Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 7 a.m. at Platte County High School in honor of Cheri Menk.  Funds raised from this event will be donated to the Cheri Menk Memorial Scholarship at Platte County High School.  Please contact Platte County Parks and Recreation iff you are interested in registering to participate.

 

Cheri Menk was a tremendous young lady w/ a beautiful heart.  Cheri was a close family friend and tragically her life was cut short earlier this summer due to bacterial meningitis.  Cheri had recently returned home from her Sophomore year at Benedictine College when she suddenly became ill.  Within 12 hours of the onset of a headache she was non-responsive.  Cheri touched SO many lives and is missed immensely.  She continues to touch the lives of others today as she was an organ donor and donated life to strangers.

 

Please join me in honoring Cheri’s memory.  If you are unable to participate in the walk/run, donations are being accepted in her honor.
