The June meeting of the New Mexico Postcard Club will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 6 at Montgomery Church of Christ, 7201 Montgomery Blvd NE in Albuquerque (between Wyoming and Louisiana, on the north side of the street).  Plenty of easy parking!

 

Jane Bardal will give a presentation called: “Postcard stories of New Mexico mines and logging railroads: Then and now”.  Her presentation will focus on New Mexico’s mining heritage as seen through postcards of the era.  There will also be current photos of some mining areas.  Her emphasis will be on mining in the southwest part of the state, in places such as Santa Rita, Silver City, Mogollon and Tyrone.  Also featured will be the logging railroad at Cloudcroft."
