Join Harvard Professor of Astronomy, Robert P. Kirshner, Wednesday, May 21 at 7:30pm at the Kiva Lecture Hall on the UNM Campus as he discusses exploding stars, dark energy and the accelerating universe.

Dr. Kirshner is a Harvard College Professor of Astronomy and a frequent public lecturer on science. His popular-level book "The Extravagant Universe: exploding stars, dark energy, and the accelerating cosmos" won the AAP Award for Best Professional/Scholarly Book in Physics and Astronomy. He is the author of over 200 research papers dealing with supernovae and observational cosmology.
