Full details:
The power inherent in painting is that it can awaken a wild vein of passion that will not go back to sleep. Using only the simple tools of brush, paper and paint, Awakening the Creative invites you on a stimulating journey into the heart of expressive painting, made possible through a safe environment and the personal support of Stewart Cubley. The potential is to tap into an extraordinary resource: the vibrant, driving force of your own creative spirit.

In this workshop, everyone is a beginner. You are welcome even if you've never picked up a paintbrush. There will be no critiques, analysis of the work or focus on the finished product. The goal is free expression, with the emphasis on the creative process rather than on technique or expertise. Awakening the Creative is an opportunity to embark on the greatest of all human adventures-embracing your own path and confidently following it.

Stewart Cubley is the co-author of the highly acclaimed book: Life, Paint & Passion: Reclaiming the Magic of Spontaneous Expression. Stewart has traveled throughout the world for more than 30 years working with individuals and groups to access the potential within the human heart and imagination. He has conducted seminars at learning based organizations including Esalen and Omega Institutes as well as corporations, prisons and other public forums.

This workshop may be of interest to people from a wide variety of disciplines, including art, education, counseling, social change and meditative practices. All materials are supplied.

Topics will include:
* Entering the mystery-trusting the source of spontaneous expression
* Going through the fire-how to meet and work with creative blocks
* Reaching completion-discovering the naturally occurring ending point of a process
* Off the page-painting as a metaphor for a more courageous and meaningful participation in life
