FREE great music & people in the park on a Sunday afternoon! Beginning Sunday June 21 for six Sunday's this summer Marsha Burnett of Musical Directions and the legendary NYC DJ Stormin' Norman bring to you the 2nd annual  "Sundae Sermon" Series -  A family friendly gathering of community, cultures and music lovers of all ages. Soulful House music is the cornerstone of Sundae Sermon's public dance-party. New and old House, blended with classic R&B (Barry White, Stevie Wonder), Disco (Thelma Houston), Funk (Parliament), Soul (James Brown, TSOP) & Afro-Beat (Fela).  Brought to you by a rotating collection of North America's most renowned sound architects. An uber-talented selection of DJ's including: DJ Beverly Bond (BlackGirls Rock!), DJ Chris Washington (WBLS), DJ Herbert Holler, DJ Misbehavior and others spinning tunes that cross genres, generations and borders. "Harlem is long overdue for an event that brings the community together around a shared love of music!" states Burnett enthusiastically. "The new Harlem deserves a free weekly and culturally inclusive recreational experience for its residents and visitors. Norman also agrees stating; "There are many of us in Harlem who have to venture downtown or to Brooklyn for this kind of experience, but would much rather support and celebrate our own neighborhood and network!"ABOUT SUNDAE SERMON

ABOUT MUSICAL DIRECTIONS
Marsha Burnett is the founder and owner of Musical Directions, a full service concert production & tour management company. Born and raised in London, England, Marsha moved to New York in 1997 to pursue a career in entertainment. Burnett is a versatile live show producer and director who has staged events, concerts & live music events worldwide for such artists as Beyonce, Erykah Badu, Emily King, Fantasia, Jamie Foxx, Ne-yo, Puff & Faith Evans, establishing herself as an innovative & creative force in the music industry.  Marsha and her husband Len Burnett reside in Harlem, NY.
 
ABOUT DJ STORMIN' NORMAN
Originally from East London (UK), DJ Stormin' Norman was one of the ground breaking DJ's bringing the ThunderStorm Mix during the 90's on NYC's WBLS 107.5 FM, introducing live mixing to daytime radio (previously reserved for late night weekend broadcasts), setting a new precedent for radio in the US. For over 20 years Norman commanded the nightlife circuit as a resident DJ for elite and private events. Committed to his community, Norman is a 15 year Harlem resident who is passionate about contributing to its current renaissance.
