BROOME STREET GALLERY
July 7 to July 19, 2009

RECEPTION: July 9, 4 – 7 p.m.

The group Artist of Five include four painters, one photographer and one guest artist (painter) for this exhibition featuring work inspired by our varied attachment to Nature and to the forms, colors and effect they have upon us individually and in shared ways. Each artist will exhibit several works expressing the character of their involvement with Nature.

Each artist brings distinct backgrounds of education and cultural variety to bear upon their choices of themes and their selections of media as well as image.

In these works, recognition of a similar response to Nature may be gained by the viewer looking at these works. Whether in large or small scale, these works will draw the viewer as the experience of seeing and feeling relate to the images chosen.

Whether in celebration of the power of Nature, its growth, its movement, its mystery, its reminder of art making traits, or of its expression of Time and its inspiration for storied expression, discrete use of each are in these works.

Broome Street Gallery is located just east of West Broadway on Broome St. It is opened Tuesday to Sunday 11 – 6 p.m. daily. For more information, please contact Anu Sieunarine, PhD at (212) 226-6085 during exhibition hours.
