New Years Eve 2008 @ Chinatown Brassiere (21+)

Chinatown Brasserie is the New Year’s Eve venue for all those that are looking for a hot and exotic night. Distinguished architect William T. Georgis, designed this space with a combination of New York and Chinese culture creating a mosaic of rich textures and colors from the moment you step inside.

Beyond the front entrance flanked by floor-to-ceiling Chinese silk damask curtains in vivid orange, turquoise and green, the main dining room features banquettes modeled after Imperial beds and with 10-foot tall brightly colored silk canopies, all party-goers will feel like royalty.

A small stairway framed by a black bamboo paneled moon gate leads to a private room for up to 20 guests located above and behind the extravagant main bar near the entrance to the restaurant, a special stairway with a “lily pad” landing on the large rectangular koi pond leads to the downstairs dining lounge, which is a glamorous VIP area. Decorated with leopard carpet, the lounge features a bar with backlit red glass and black granite top and exclusive semi-private banquets line the walls.

The retro-inspired furniture adds to the funky cool vibe where many celebrity parties are held, such as:
