ASTRONOMY ON THE HIGH LINE  Stargaze on New York City’s elevated park with the Amateur Astronomers Association. This fall, join Friends of the High Line and the Amateur Astronomers Association (AAA) to view the night sky using high-powered telescopes and get a lesson from the experts on the celestial wonders of New York’s night sky in a series of events titled “Astronomy on the High Line,” every Tuesday in October and November, from dusk to 9:30pm, on the High Line at the Sundeck. Enter at the 16th Street staircase and walk south. This program is FREE and will take place on the High Line’s Sundeck, one of the most popular gathering points, overlooking the Hudson River. Telescopes will be set up from dusk to 9:30 PM.  In the event of a cancellation due to visibility, notifications will be made on the AAA website at www.aaa.org by noon on that day. Astronomy on the High Line is a part of Friends of the High Line’s fall calendar of free Family Programs.   For the most up-to-date information, please visit www.thehighline.org
