Full details: The goal of Cabarrus Star Tour is to share the joy of astronomy with the general population - "Bringing Astronomy to the People." Come out to the park and join local amateur astronomers (and some pros!) for an afternoon and evening of star gazing and planet viewing. Area astronomy clubs and companies will have telescopes set up for the public to view various galaxies, nebulae, star clusters, planets, and even the sun! (We will be doing solar-viewing at 4:00 pm, then night-sky viewing at dark.) We are not talking about little telescopes here… these are some big, fancy, impressive computer-controlled telescopes! So come out, bring the family, bring your telescope or binoculars if you have them, learn some fun facts… and look to the sky! Cabarrus Star Tour 2008 is a FREE EVENT!
