Save a life just by lacing up your tennis shoes! You’ll be exercising, having fun, and supporting a great cause all at the same time at the 2008 Greater Dayton Heart Walk.  Participants join company teams or form their own in honor of a loved one’s battle with heart disease and stroke.  Each walker is encouraged to raise $150 by collecting sponsorship from friends, family, and co-workers.  The money raised benefits the American Heart Association by funding research, education, and advocacy to fight America’s No. 1 and No. 3 killers, heart disease and stroke.   This annual event features a variety of activities prior to the start of the 3.1 mile walk, such as the Kids Zone area and free health fair that will keep participants smiling for the remainder of the day.  The survivor tent, which recognizes survivors’ strength and courage in winning the battle against heart disease and stroke, serves as an emotional reminder of the importance of supporting such a worthy cause.   The 2008 Greater Dayton Start! Heart Walk is co-chaired by Chris Pulous of Brower Insurance and Mike Emoff of Shumsky. Sign up today and Let’s Get Started!
