The Norsemen Chorus of Eugene, OR will host the 100th Sangerfest of the Pacific Coast Norwegian Singer's Association.  The twelve member choruses will attend as well as The Hauka Mannskor from Soknedal, Norway.  A choir of 130 or so is expected.

The first Sangerfest of the PCNSA was held in Everett, WA in 1903.  Several years were skipped due to war and other factors.  Eugene held the 50th Sangerfest in 1959 after joining the PCNSA in 1958. The Norsemen were established in 1939 and are sponsored by Sonja Lodge #38, a member of the Sons of Norway.  This event is also sponsored, in part, by the Sons of Norway Foundation.

A grand concert will be held Friday June 26th, 2009 at 7:30pm and the public is encouraged to attend.  Songs of Norwegian, Scandinavian, and American heritage will be presented.
