31 ST GIANT PA STATE CHILI COOK-OFF
Saturday, September 5th, beginning at 10:00 AM
Riverfront Park, Harrisburg, PA

Each year for the past 31 years, Chiliheads have met to compete in the International Chili Society (ICS) PA State Chili Cookoff. The winner from this event qualify to compete in the World Championship Chili Cookoff, this year held in West Virginia.

Originally, less than 2 dozen cooks and a few hundres spectators, it has grown to be the biggest food festival in Pennsylvania.

New this year is Giant Foods "Best Use of Giant & PA Preferred Product" with a trophy, $50.00 Giant gift certificate and a $25.00 Flinchy's Restaurant gift certificate to the winner.

The booths are amazing, the chili is great, live music on stage all day and over 10,000 people will be sampling the chili's.

The Giant Cookoff is part of Harrisburg's end of the summer river festival known as Kipona. Kipona is a 3 day festival that runs from Saturday through Monday. Stall all weekend but don't miss this event on Saturday, September 5, 2009! See you there!!
