Prospect Hill Book Signing by Kimberly Seigh

(Johnstown, PA)—Author Kim Seigh will be on hand at select First Commonwealth Offices signing copies of her new book, Prospect Hill.  The signings will be held at the following First Commonwealth locations:

Ø  June 7^th, 2008 – Richland Office – 1001 Scalp Avenue (9 am – 12 pm).

Ø  June 14^th, 2008 – Windber Office – 1400 Graham Avenue (9 am – 2 pm) during the 9^th Annual Miners’ Memorial Day Weekend event.

Ø  June 21^st, 2008 – Westmont Office – 1541 Menoher Boulevard (9 am – 12 pm).

From the aftermath of the Johnstown, PA, Flood of 1889 to Lindbergh’s historic flight, Prospect Hill follows the intertwined lives of the Edelweiss family as young Crystal struggles to keep her family together and becomes an independent woman of the 1920’s.

Prospect Hill was inspired by her own family history.  The characters are very real and Prospect Hill brings history to life in a memorable, entertaining way by introducing you to a family you will never forget.  Readers will gain an insight to family living and how our ancestors lived, worked, and played in an era so different from our own.

Kimberly Seigh lives in Johnstown, PA with her family and has worked as a social worker, primarily with the developmentally disabled. Serving as a Peace Corps volunteer, she worked in Uganda on an orphans’ project. Most recently, she has been employed as a teacher of a variety of grades and subjects. 

Prospect Hill was recently reviewed by Johnstown Magazine in the June 2008 edition.  Books will be available for sale at these events.
