Glade Run Lutheran Services will hold its 9th Annual Society of 1854 Dinner and Silent Auction on Saturday, November 8 at the Music Hall at the Carnegie Museum from 6 to 10 p.m. Carnegie Museum Hall of Music is located in the Carnegie Museum in the heart of Oakland.  Carnegie Museum of Art provides dazzling venues for special functions and corporate events.

The event will recognize three Knights of the Kingdom awardees. This honorary society recognizes individuals, congregations and businesses making significant contributions in time, talent and program support throughout the year. This year’s awardees are:
The Rev. Bernard Carl (Individual), Trinity Lutheran Church, Wexford (Congregation) and Matta, Rupp, Fiore Insurance Management (Corporation).

A special musical performance by Jim Donnovan’s Drum the Ecstatic International, a dynamic drum and vocal group will follow the award ceremony. The evening will also include dinner and a silent auction. Funds raised will help advance the educational programming at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Academy, Glade Run’s private, licensed school for alternative and special education. The school is currently adding a $3.7 million addition to the existing structure. Glade Run Lutheran Services is a Pennsylvania non-profit organization that has worked for more than 150 years to fulfill the mission of “Linking Faith and Service.”  Mental health, educational and social services are provided to more than 1,500 children, teens and families each year through residential, in-community and school programs.  Offices are located in Zelienople, Butler, Pittsburgh and Beaver Falls.
