HEARTH, a non-profit housing organization serving the Greater Pittsburgh area, is slated to hold its 14th Annual Tee & Green Golf Event on June 15, 2009, at Sewickley Heights Golf Club in Sewickley, Pa.  The fundraiser will benefit area homeless women and their children.  A special recognition dinner also will be held to honor several HEARTH Dreammaker awardees who have generously donated $10,000 or more in support of HEARTH’s mission and program participants.  Attendee options for the event span combo and foursome packages, individual golfer accommodations and dinner-only tickets. The schedule for HEARTH’s Tee & Green Golf Event and Award Dinner includes:

  • 10:00 a.m. – Golfer Registration
  • 11:00 a.m. – Lunch and Putting Contest
  • Noon – Shotgun Start
  • 5:00 p.m. – Cash Bar, Hors d’oeuvres (tented outdoor venue)
  • 6:00 p.m. – Cash Bar, Hors d’oeuvres and Silent Auction (continuing indoors)
  • 7:00 p.m. – Dreammaker Recognition Dinner
  • 8:00 p.m. – Award Presentations.

HEARTH has provided housing to nearly 165 homeless women and more than 300 children since 1995.  In fulfillment of its end goal to empower families to become self-sufficient and adequately housed, HEARTH first provides housing and then helps program participants gain life skills, complete educational programs, get better paying jobs and eventually transition to permanent housing.
