This is the 18th year for the Pittsburgh New Works Festival, presented at Open Stage Theatre on the corner of Smallman and 29th Streets in the Strip District of Pittsburgh with FREE PARKING available behind the theater.

Playwrights from around the world submit their original one act plays.  Twelve plays are selected for full productions and six plays are selected for staged readings.  Each of these 18 scripts is produced by one of 18 local theatre companies and cast from a pool of local performers.  Visit our website at: www.pittsburghnewworks.org for show listings.

The Staged Readings are FREE TO THE PUBLIC.  Performances are August 24 and August 31 at 7:00 PM.

The Main Stage, fully produced performances, run Thursdays through Sundays, beginning September 4 and running through September 28, 2008.  Each week three of the plays are presented.  Performance times are Thurs. and Fri. at 8:00 PM, Sat. at 5:00 and 8:00 PM and Sunday at 4:00 and 7:00 PM.  A Festival Pass is only $30.  Single tickets are $10.00.  All advance ticket sales (single tickets and subscriptions) are being handled by ProArtsTickets.
