where can you see and meet a Nationally known comedian, fashion designer and filmmaker all in one evening for free?  No place other than a live taping of The Loretta McNary Show on Wednesday, September 10, 2008.  The Loretta McNary will tape 3 amazing shows!  Here’s the line up for the show:  Sylvia “Small Fire” Moore formerly known as “Small Frie” started her career as a comedienne after junior college. Small Fire has been blessed to appear on well known comedy shows and entertainment programs such as: TBN, Bobby Jones Gospel, Word Network, Vibe, Wayans’ Brothers Show, Showtime At The Apollo, Def Comedy Jam, B.E.T.’s Lift Every Voice and Comic View. She also appeared in the Disney Movie “The First Kid” with comedian Sinbad.  Learn how Susan Handley, a single mom who was struggling just to make ends meet, started Beijo Bags with no prior business experience. Instead, she had the encouragement of her friends, a loan from her father, and the desire to make a better life for herself and her young son, Kyle. It was Kyle, in fact, who provided the name for his mom’s company. “Beijo,” which means “kiss” in Portuguese, was Kyle’s second spoken word, one that the toddler often repeated when asking for a “beijo, Mama, beijo.” Susan is not only watching her own dream come true, but is also the creative force behind a growing success story for women all across the country.  Tracey Sikes will be on hand to sharing Susan’s amazing story to inspire others to start their own business, plus a fashion show featuring the new fall line. Also, one of Memphis’ very successful florists has written and published a book which is soon to be featured on the big screen, come hear her story of trials and triumphs. Wed., September 10, 2008 from 6:00 P.M. – 8:15 P.M.
