2009 is the debut year for the International Taco Festival in El Paso to be held at the iconic Ascarate Park.  With over 10 acres of space available it is sure to be a party to remember!
A full day of entertainment is planned to draw one of the largest outdoor crowds of any El Paso event including an entire Children’s Park with over 25 jumping balloons and rides, beer booths, soda and water booths, various retails vendors and, or course, TACO BOOTHS!
There will be 2 entertainment stages with bands playing all day long.  The International Taco Festival is all about the fun so there will be a large variety of live music including Classic Rock, Cuban music, Blues, Jazz, Mexican Classic, Mariachi, and more.  And OF COURSE, everyone will enjoy the fantastic tacos available from many different restaurant vendors competing in different categories for the title of BEST TACOS in all different categories!  YUMMMMMM! 
Approximately 10 acres of Ascarate Park will be fenced off by the International Taco Festival and Zeus Meteorology Reign adjacent to the old location of Western Playland.  The land on the lakeside will be where the majority of vendor booths, beer tents and the secondary stage will be located.
Across the street will be located the Children’s Park, VIP Area and Main Stage will be located.  Parking will be available all around the entire facility.  Portable Potties will be located throughout the grounds of the International Taco Festival.  Security will be provided by a force of off-duty, in-uniform El Paso County Sheriff’s Department Officers as well as Event Staff Security.  The El Paso County Sheriff’s Department has also agreed to provide traffic control for the event.
Zeus Marketing has currently secured Taco Vendors and Retail Vendors as of April 20th.  We expect to have at least 24 Food booths and 10 Retail booths on the day of the event.
