Full details:
Our Saturday Seminar series continues with this exciting interactive workshop designed for even the most experienced performers. Participants gain insight from industry professional Jeff Corriveau (VA Opera) who understands the process, and will guide you on how best to prepare for that all-important musical audition. We will simulate a real audition, and each participant will be given specific and constructive feedback to strengthen your overall performance.  Participants are asked to bring one prepared song (upbeat) from a musical. An accompanist will be provided. No cassettes/cds or a cappella.  Bring prepared monologue if you have one. This workshop addresses numerous issues, including:

Choosing the right audition repertoire, proper presentation during the auditions, a discussion on what Directors are looking for during a musical/dance audition, and so much more ….

Professional Audition Workshops are designed for participants ages 8 and up, and are limited to 30 participants. Students under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult
