Does EventSetter post all the events?
NO, EventSetter does not post any events. All events are posted by the users of EventSetter.
Does EventSetter charge for posting events?
NO, it's free to post events. EventSetter does not charge for posting events.
Why don't I see any events in the category I looked at?
There may not be any events in that category at the time you are looking for.
Why are there no events in my city?
There may not be any events listed for your city at this time.
My city is not listed on EventSetter, can you add my city?
We can't add every city, but we may add more cities to our list if your city is not within or in close proximity to a city that is already on our list.
Can you tell me a good place to go tonight?
EventSetter does not make any recommendations for events to attend or places to go.
What is the Quick List?
The Quick List is a way to keep track of your favorite events using a cookie on your computer.
How do I use the Quick List?
To add an event to your Quick List, just click the ICON next to the event. To remove an event from your Quick List, just click the ICON next to the listing on your Quick List.
How many events can I add to my Quick List?
The Quick List holds 20 event listings.
What happens if I add more than 20 listings to my Quick List?
Adding more than 20 event listings to your Quick List will automatically remove the first event listing added to your Quick List.
Can I access my Quick List from a friend’s computer?
Your Quick List can only be accessed from the same computer that you added them on.
Does EventSetter sell tickets to events?
NO, EventSetter does not currently sell tickets to any events.
How and where do I report errors with EventSetter?
You can contact EventSetter by clicking “contact” at the bottom of most pages on EventSetter.com.
Can EventSetter help produce and host an event?
EventSetter does not currently produce or host any events.
Can I get a job as an event promoter with EventSetter?
EventSetter does not host or produce events, and does not require event promoters.
Does EventSetter sell any personal information?
NO, EventSetter does not sell or otherwise distribute any email addresses or other personal information.
What browser do I need to use EventSetter?
EventSetter is best used with Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer, and we cannot guarantee how well EventSetter will perform using other browsers.
What are the little orange boxes with the white curved lines?
These are RSS feeds. This is a way for you to keep up with new events without having to constantly visit EventSetter.com.
What is an RSS feed?
RSS ("Really Simple Syndication") is a format used to publish frequently updated content, which can be read using a feed reader. On EventSetter the RSS feeds contain a summary of events posted to the site.
Can I get a single RSS feed on EventSetter for every city?
No, each city has two separate RSS feeds. One is Chronological and the other is Latest Posts.
What is the difference between the “Chronological RSS” and the “Latest Posts RSS”?
The Chronological RSS feed is for receiving event listings that are happening in date and time order. The Latest Posts RSS feed is for receiving events as they come in to EventSetter.

Who can post events on EventSetter?
Anyone can post events on EventSetter.
How do I post an event?
To post an event click "Post An Event" and fill in the all the required fields on the form, click "Preview" to see how it will be displayed, and then click "Submit". You will then receive a publishing email that requires you to click the activation link before your event will be displayed.
I sent an email with my event information, but you didn't post my event.
EventSetter does not post events. See “How do I post an event?” to post your event.
My event happens over several days. How do I add extra days to my event posting?
To add up to four additional dates to a single event listing click "Add More Event Dates" on the “Post An Event” page and fill in all the date and time fields for each additional date required.
My event doesn't have a firm ending time, why must I choose an "end time"?
All events come to an end eventually, and we ask you to give an end time or your best estimate.
Why do you require an email to post events if I don't have a PR Page?
EventSetter requires email addresses to filter automated submissions to the site.
Can I post my event in every city on EventSetter?
NO, you should only post your event in the city where your event happens. Posting events in cities where the event is not occurring will be deleted without notice.
Can I post my event in more than one category?
You need to choose only one category for your event. We understand that events can fall into more than one category, but you should pick the best category for your event.
Can I post more than one event?
Yes, you can post as many as events as you need to.
Can I post an event without signing up for a PR Page on EventSetter?
Yes, you do not need to register for a PR Page to post an event.
I submitted the event form, but why don't I see my event listed?
Before your event shows up in the list of events, you must first activate by clicking the activation link in the publishing email. Your event will then be listed on EventSetter.
I did not receive the publishing email, what do I do now?
Be sure to check your Junk or Spam mail folder for the publishing email, and be sure to put EventSetter.com on a Whitelist or Safelist for your email.
Why should I keep the publishing email that was sent to activate my event?
You should keep the publishing email for every event you post until the event has expired, so that you may edit, delete, or display “Canceled” on your event listing on EventSetter.
How can I edit or delete an event I have already posted?
To edit or delete your event listing you will need to click the second link in the publishing email, which will give you several options to edit, delete or display your event as canceled. Click the button for your desired option, and you will see a page similar to the submission form. After you have made the changes, click the saved button, and your listing will display the new changes.
If I edit or delete my event listing, do I need to activate the changes through a publishing email?
No, editing or deleting an event does not require activation through a publishing email.
I deleted the publishing email for an event I posted can I have another copy of the publishing email sent for that event listing?
Yes, you can have the publishing email sent to you from the last event that you posted using your email address.
When I post an event on EventSetter will my event be listed on other event sites?
NO, posting an event on EventSetter will only place your event listing on EventSetter.
Why was my event listing deleted?
EventSetter deletes listings that violate our Terms of Service, or are determined not to be actual events.
Can I use images in my event listings?
Yes, you may use images for your event listing, and we encourage you to make you listing as exciting and colorful as possible.
How do I put images in my event Listing?
To put images in your event listing the images must be hosted on your own site or an image hosting site like Photobucket.com. You can then put the image in your event listing by using the URL Link - Layout Pages.
How do I paste my event information into the "Full Details" field?
To paste your event information into the "Full Details" field, you must use the editing tools below the field. Click the "HTML" button [last button, second row], and after the pop-up window opens, paste your information in this window and click "Update" in the lower left corner of this window. Your information will then populate the "Full Details" field.
What is a virtual event?
A virtual event is an event that doesn't require you to go to a physical address, such as a telecast, a webinar, or conference call.
How do I post Virtual Events?
Submitting and activating a virtual event works exactly the same way as submitting and activating a location based event.

Do I have to be a business or an event promoter to have PR Page?
NO, anyone can register for a PR Page.
How do I sign up for a PR Page on EventSetter.com?
Click "Sign Up" in the upper right corner of the website and fill in the form. You will then receive an activation email and are required to click the activation link before you can access your PR Page.
How do I sign into my PR Page?
Click "Log In" in the upper right corner of the website, and enter your email address and password.
Do I get a unique EventSetter URL when I sign up for a PR Page?
Yes, when you sign up for a PR Page you will get a distinctive EventSetter URL. Your URL will be similar to the following example; www.eventsetter.com/pr/yourname
Where do I edit my PR Page information?
Under the section labeled "Control Panel" click "Profile Information"
How do I add my PR Page into the Directory?
Under the section labeled "Control Panel" click "Directory Set Up". If you have not set up your local listing, skip to the next question. Select an option from "Select A Category" that best describes your PR Page on EventSetter, and choose a "Listing Title" and "Description" and click "Set Directory Listing" when you are finished.
How do I set up my Local Listing?
To set up your Local Listing click the link in red that reads "Attention!!! You must select LOCAL LISTING in Profile Details. Click here." In the Profile Details fill in all the fields including "Country", "Local Listing".
Can I change my Directory Listing?
Yes, by following the information in "How do I add my PR Page into the Directory?"
Where do I change my password for my PR Page?
Under the section labeled "Control Panel" click "Profile Information" and scroll to the second to the last section at the bottom of the page labeled "Reset Password"
I forgot my password, how can I get my password for my PR Page?
Go to the Log In page and there is a field to have your password sent to your email address.
How can I find out how many people visit my PR Page?
We suggest signing up at SiteMeter, and adding the code to your PR Page to keep track of how many visits your PR Page gets.
How do I add colors to my PR Page?
Under the section labeled "Control Panel", click "Display Colors", and you must select each box separately before using the color picker tool. When you are finished click "Set Colors", and then click “View Changes”.
How can I edit the background on my PR Page?
Under the section labeled "Control Panel" click "Custom Front Page" and you may add text and color or just an image URL into the box. When you are finished, click "Update Front Page".
How do I add images to my Albums on my PR Page?
Under the section labeled "Control Panel" click "Create Album" and create an Album Name and add image URLs from your image hosting site of choice.
Do you limit how many images I can have in PR Page Album?
Yes, you are limited to 16 images in each Album.
Do you limit how many Albums I can have on my PR Page?
NO, there is no limit to the number of Albums you may have for your PR Page.
Why doesn't EventSetter host images for my PR Page?
EventSetter is an events promotion site, and there already many image hosting sites available.
Where can I find a place to host images for my PR Page and event listings?
There are many image hosting websites, and Photobucket.com is one of the more popular sites, but we do not endorse one over any others.
Why was my account deleted?
If your account was deleted it is because you violated EventSetter's Terms of Use.
How do I delete my account?
In order to delete your account, you will need to send an email message specifying the PR Page name to the email address on EventSetter from the email address and password that your PR Page is registered with.
