The holiest day of the Buddhist calendar, Visakha Puja marks the birth, enlightenment and death of Buddha on the day of the full moon in May. Thailand's Buddhists celebrate in style.
Throughout the country people crowd the temples to hear sermons by important monks, offer donations and prayers and participate in picturesque, candelit evening processions.
